Discover the best of Singapore on a fascinating walking tour that takes you from historic Chinatown to the colourful streets of Kampong Glam, with some of the city’s most famous landmarks along the way.
We’ll meet at Starbucks at Chinatown Point and begin in the heart of Chinatown, one of the best places to understand how modern Singapore came to be. This historic neighbourhood tells the story of the early immigrants who arrived in search of a better life and helped transform a small trading settlement into the incredible city you see today. Walk through colourful streets filled with history, culture and traditional architecture while discovering stories of Singapore’s early days.
Visit the magnificent Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, one of Chinatown‘s most impressive landmarks, before continuing through historic Telok Ayer Street, once close to Singapore’s original shoreline and an important arrival point for early immigrants.
From Chinatown, we’ll continue to Lau Pa Sat, one of Singapore’s most iconic heritage food centres, before making our way towards spectacular Marina Bay.
Get your camera ready at Merlion Park, home to Singapore’s famous Merlion. Enjoy fantastic views across the bay and see some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks and impressive modern architecture.
Next, enjoy a short walk through the Civic District, Singapore’s historic heart, before stopping at the legendary Raffles Hotel, one of the city’s most famous colonial-era landmarks.
Then we’ll visit Parkview Square, one of Singapore’s most unusual buildings, often nicknamed the “Batman Building” because of its striking Art Deco design.
Our final neighbourhood is vibrant Kampong Glam, Singapore’s historic Malay-Arab quarter. Wander through the colourful streets around Arab Street, discover the character and heritage of the area, and finish beside the magnificent Sultan Mosque. From the streets where Singapore’s early communities took root to the spectacular skyline of Marina Bay, this tour brings together the history, cultures and iconic sights that make Singapore so unique.
